Dairyland Power announces wind energy expansion

Dairyland Power Cooperative logo​Dairyland Power Cooperative, Polk-Burnett's power provider, will begin purchasing 80 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy from the Barton Wind Farm (Kensett, Iowa), effective February 15.

Co-op security lights brighten your yard from dusk to dawn

Polk-Burnett Electric Cooperative offers energy-efficient LED security lights for co-op members.

Security lights are installed on Polk-Burnett poles and operate from dusk to dawn.

Members are charged a monthly maintenance fee for the light, and installation fees may apply.

LED UPGRADE: All new co-op security lights are now LEDs, which are longer lasting and save an estimated 70% in energy costs and about $50,000 per year in repair and replacement costs.

Applications being accepted for 2017 co-op board election
